Obituary of Jose Carlin Gonzalez

Our beloved Jose Carlin Gonzalez, age 86, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Gonzalez; his parents, Francisco Gonzalez and Jacinta Carlin, and his siblings, Manuela G. Ortega (Francisco) and Francisca G. Herrera (Felix).

Jose is survived by his children, Maria de Jesus Rodriguez (Roberto), Juan Jose A. Gonzalez (Connie), Roberto A. Gonzalez, Esteban "Steve" Alvarez Gonzalez, and Martin A. Gonzalez; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Lyon & Tillery St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
