Obituary of Dora Jean Cerda

Our Beloved Dora Jean Cerda, age 85, a lifelong resident of Austin was called by Our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 20, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband Joe S. Serda and her parents Pete and Pauline Castillo.

Mrs. Cerda is survived by her loving children Michael Cerda and his wife Carolyn Thomas, Cynthia Cerda, Richard Cerda, Sylvia Gonzalez, and Christine Cerda. The family would like to offer special recognition to the following people:  Jerome & Frances Russo, Sharon Varn, Sylvia Partida, Juanita Grady, and Alice Vines.

Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 910 Tillery St., Austin Texas 78702.

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas 78704.
