Obituary of Robert Martinez

Our beloved Robert Martinez, Sr., age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Martinez Gonzales; his brother, Raymond Mata, and by his sister-in-law, Renee Martinez Gonzales.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rosemary Martinez; mother, Patsy Gonzales; children, Tommy Castilleja (Amy), Jessica Vasquez (Johnny Gauna), Eddie Vasquez (Ana), Tina Martinez (John Tijerina), Robert Martinez, Jr. (Tricia) and grandson that they raised as a son, Tony Martinez; brothers, Henry Martinez, Jr., Albert Gonzales, Sr., Albert Rivera, Jr., Zachary Rivera, Adam Martinez, and Ronnie Martinez; sisters, Alice Martinez, Diane Renteria (Benny), Linda Martinez, Judy Castillo (Hector), Elizabeth Gonzales (Marcus Gonzalez), Delia De La Rosa (Mario), and Nicole Rendon; 24 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

The graveside service for Mr. Martinez will held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery, 3304 E. 12th St., Austin, Texas. Interment to follow.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
