Obituary of Irene R. Martinez

Our beloved Irene Rangel Martinez, age 67 years, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Irene is reunited in grace with her parents, Nicholas and Pauline Perez Rangel; and her brothers, Martin and Joe Rangel. 

Irene is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Randall Martinez; her precious son, Adrian Martinez; her treasured grandson, Ryan Martinez; her brothers, Pete Rangel, Alfred Rangel; her sisters, Beatrice Castro, Mary Cano; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends. 

Please consider donating to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Irene's honor in lieu of flowers.

A Memorial Rosary will be held in honor of Irene on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 9:15 a.m., and Memorial Mass following at 10:00 a.m., at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church,  126 West Oltorf Street, Austin, Texas. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
