Obituary of Enriqueta M. Gomez

Our beloved Enriqueta Gomez, age 89, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique Gomez; her parents, Maria Ramirez Munoz and Jesus Munoz; her son, Francisco "Frank" Gomez; five siblings; and her daughter in law, Elisa Gomez.

Enriqueta is survived by her children, Jose Antonio "Tony" Gomez (Josefina), Jose Armando "Mando" Gomez, Rebecca "Becky" Ann Vasquez (Richard); her siblings, Oralia Cespedes, and Arturo Munoz; her grandchildren, Junior "Cisco" Gomez, Brenda Aleman (Javier), Jaime Gomez (Ashli),Tony Gomez, Jr., Christina Gomez, Kathy Gomez, Amy Martinez (Rudy), Rogelio Barrientos (Blanca), Amy Ulloa (Elio), Mindy Juarez (Steve), Kevin Vasquez (Joanna), and Cristie Vasquez; 19 great grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m., with a Prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home-South, 6204 S. 1st St., Austin, Texas 78745.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home -South, 6204 S.1st St. Austin,Texas 78745. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

The Gomez family respectfully request that all those in attendance wear face covering to help protect vulnerable family members and our community.  In advance the family is grateful for your understanding.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
