Obituary of Margarita Tanguma Lopez

Our Beloved Margarita Tanguma Lopez, age 63 of Austin, was called by Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021.

Margarita was preceded in death by her mother, Apolonia Tanguma Guzman, grandparents Federico Tanguma, Sr. and Virginia Martinez Tanguma, and several aunts and uncles.

Margarita is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Juan Lopez, Sr., her son, Juan Jose Lopez Jr. (Yvonne), daughters, Angelica Lopez-Sparks (Jonathan), Marissa Consuelo Lopez (Isaiah Garcia); four beloved grandchildren: Joshua, Aliana, Jayden and Kassidy; sister, Rosa Tanguma-Cambray, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved grandpups. 

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to the Arellano-Zamarron family, the extended Lopez family, and Joann Leal and Nathan Cardenas for everything they have done throughout the years. Your love and support has always been appreciated.

Pallbearers will be Juan Jose Lopez Jr., Jonathan Sparks, Isaiah Garcia, Nathan Cardenas, Manuelito Lopez, and Julio Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Lopez and Jayden Garcia.

Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, November 18th, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Chapel on East Cesar Chavez.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas. 

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas.
