Obituary of Rubin Esquivel

Our beloved Rubin G. Esquivel, age 55, resident of Mission, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Friday, November 5, 2021. He is reunited with his son, Joseph Esquivel; his father, Frank Esquivel; his step-father, Robert Bruciaga; and his uncle, Joe Garza. 

Rubin is survived by his loving children, Crystal Esquivel, Ruben Esquivel II, Joshua Esquivel, Melinda Esquivel; seven precious grandchildren; his mother, Hermelinda G. Bruciaga; his siblings, Marina Barrera, and her spouse, Bulmaro, Esmeralda Esquivel, Carlos Esquivel, Frank Esquivel, and his spouse, Loretta, Mario Esquivel; his uncle, Gilbert G. Garza, Jr.; his aunt, Lucinda Garza Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

Services for Rubin will conclude at the close of the chapel at 9:00 p.m.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
