Obituary of Christine A. Rangel

Our beloved Christine Astran Rangel, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

She was preceded by in death by her parents, Pablo and Victoria Astran.

Christine is survived by her loving sons, Antonio “Tony” Rangel (Lisa Vega), Joe Angel Rangel (Maria Trujillo), and Ruben Rangel (Gloria Rangel); grandchildren, Anthony Rangel, Daniel Rangel, Kimberley Rangel, Makayla Ann Bonnett,  AJ Rangel, Junior Rangel, Erica Rangel, Ronnie Chavez, and Leti Chavez; great grandchildren, John Barton, Cesar Demetrio Rodarte Jr.; siblings, Vicky Lopez, Andrew Astran, Paul Astran, Joe Astran and Alex Astran; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South 1st St., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
