Obituary of Florentino Rios

Nuestro amado Florentino Ríos, de 92 años, fue llamado a nuestro Padre Celestial el lunes 25 de octubre de 2021. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Ignacia Ríos; su hija, Sofia Rios; su hijo, Ignacio Ríos, y sus hermanos y hermanas.

Florentino es sobrevivido por su amada esposa por más de 70 años, Genoveva Rios; sus hijos Rosario Ríos, Cande Ríos (Santos), Asunción Ríos, María de Jesús García (Arturo), José Guadalupe Ríos (Olga), Rubén Ríos (Sylvia) y Hugo Ríos (María); 27 nietos, 58 bisnietos y 9 tataranietos y numerosos sobrinos, sobrinos y otros familiares y amigos cariñosos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 5:00 a 9:00 p.m. con el rezo del Santo Rosario a partir de las 7:00 p.m. el martes 2 de noviembre de 2021 en Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

La misa de entierro cristiano comenzará a las 11:00 a.m. el miércoles 3 de noviembre de 2021 en la Iglesia Católica San Francisco Javier, Hwy 183, Austin, Texas. El entierro seguirá en Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Our beloved Florentino Rios, age 92, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 25, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ignacia Rios; his daughter, Sofia Rios; his son, Ignacio Rios, and his brothers and sisters.

Florentino is surived by his loving wife of 70 plus years, Genoveva Rios; his children, Rosario Rios, Cande Rios (Santos), Asuncion Rios, Maria de Jesus Garcia (Arturo), Jose Guadalupe Rios (Olga), Ruben Rios (Sylvia), and Hugo Rios (Maria); 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, Hwy 183, Austin, Texas.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
