Obituary of Rudolph Martinez
Our beloved Rudolph "Stony Bird" Martinez, Sr., age 81, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He is reunited with his daughter, Melinda Marie Doffing; his parents, Augustine and Eloisa Garza Martinez; and his brothers, Joel, Augustine Jr., and Robert Martinez.
Rudolph is survived by his daughter, Deborah Avila, and her spouse, Moses; his son, Rudolph Martinez, Jr.; his grandsons, Nicholas Doffing, and his spouse, Ara, and Cameron Martinez; his great-granddaughters, Ellison Marie Doffing and Madison Martinez; his brother, Gilbert Martinez, and his spouse, Stephanie; his sister, Norma Martinez; many nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
During his time at Glastron Boats and Capitol Metro; he was well known for his smile and his great love for his family. No doubt that his positive attitude and unending love influenced his children and his grandson; a gift for generations to continue giving in his memory.
Rudolph's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Serendipity Personal Care Home for their loving and attentive care to Rudolph in his time there.
The Martinez Family names the following gentlemen as Honored Pallbearers: Robert Martinez, Louie Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Peter Terrazas, Jerry Acosta, and Nicholas Doffing. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Doffing and Jose Angel Esquivel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place the following morning, Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
