Obituary of Richard Armonta
Our beloved Richard Armonta, age 64, resident of Austin and Manor, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliseo and Seferina Armonta; his brothers, Paul "Tacuache" Armonta, Aurelio "Wile" Armonta, Alfredo "Shorty" Armonta, Thomas Armonta, and Reynaldo Armonta; his sisters, Asenette "Janie" Perez, Josefina "Josie" Gonzales, and Lucia "Lucy" Armonta.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Cortez Armonta; his children, Richard Armonta II, and his spouse, Wanda, Sarah Seferina Armonta; his grandchildren, Adam Andrew Armonta, Richard Xavier Armonta, Ruben Armonta, Teresa Marie Armonta, Joe Angel Garcia, Luis Garcia, Melissa Belen Garcia, Lilianna Heaven Garcia; his brothers, Geraldo "Harry" Armonta, Robert "Güero" Armonta; his sisters, Marianna Perez, Olivia Armonta, Antonia "Toni" Farry; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
A Graveside Service will be held the following morning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Assumption Cemetery. The Armonta family asks that all attendees of the graveside service please meet the family at the cemetery on that morning.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support
during this very difficult time.
