Obituary of Charles Ybarra

Charles Felix Ybarra, age 55, a beloved brother, uncle, and son, passed peacefully into Our Lords hands surrounded by loved ones on September 24th, 2021. Felix was preceded in death by his mother, Mary C. Ybarra

Charles was a resident of Austin, Texas and member of Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football, the San Francisco 49ers, and all things wrestling. He was also a collector of board games, action figures, sports cards, and t-shirts. He enjoyed walking to visit his friends at Gene Johnson’s garage and attending Knights of Columbus meetings. 

Although the Lord gave Charles a tough path to follow he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether it be walking to get breakfast for the boys at the garage or working his various jobs. In his free time you could find him entertaining all his nieces and nephews with his various video game consoles, board games, playing cards, and Star Wars action figures or catching that Monday and Friday Night WWE wrestling match. 

Charles is survived by his loving and caring father Robert Ybarra, his siblings Diane (Larry) Wessels, Robert Rene (Martha) Ybarra, Yolanda (Gary) Bass. Charles was also a caring uncle to many nieces, nephews which  included great nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 with Rosary and Scripture Service beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas
