Obituary of Albert Contreras

Our beloved Alberto Jesse Contreras, age 47, of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 20, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dionicio G. Contreras; his son, Devin Contreras; his sister, Ophelia Contreras, and his nephew, Reggie Don Arispe. 

He is survived by mother, Mary Contreras; his children, Vanessa Contreras (Jonathan), Albert Anthony Contreras (Rosalinda), John Albert Contreras, Michael Contreras (Arie), and Shyanne Contreras (Anthony); his siblings, Dionicio Contreras, Jr., Sylvia Contreras, Yolanda Contreras, Patricia Contreras, Ramona Contreras and Rebecca Contreras (Jesus); 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many more loving family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be John Contreras, Michael Contreras, Albert Anthony Contreras, Clieda Marinez, Jesse Contreras, Daniel J. Centena. Honorary Pallbearers are Daniel Cisneros, David Samarippa and Richard Arispe. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitaiton of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S. 1st street, Austin, Texas 78745.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S. 1st street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
