Obituary of Pedro Zuniga

Our beloved Pedro Zuñiga was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

He is preceded by his parents, Amado Zuñiga and Fidencia Perez Zuñiga; daughter Martha Zuñiga; siblings, Alberto Zuñiga, Jose Zuñiga, Concepcion Zuñiga, Carmen Zuñiga, Angel Zuñiga, Josefina Zuñiga and Elena Zuñiga.

Pedro is survived by his loving wife, of 56 beautiful years, Maria Luisa Zuñiga; his adoring children, Guadalupe Zuñiga (Ascencion), Maria De Los Angeles Zuñiga (Jose Luis), Pedro Zuñiga Jr. (Maricalla), Raul Zuñiga, Maria De Jesus (Jose Alcala), Juan Zuñiga (Guadalupe) Roberto Zuñiga, Antonio Zuñiga, Ana Cristina Zuñiga (Ramon), and Angelica Zuñiga Salas (Josue); as well as 32 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South 1st St., Austin, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Austin, 2100 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX 78741, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
