Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather Jose ?Joe? Reyna age 74, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 23, 2003.Mr. Joe Reyna was a musician, who played the accordian. He was a member of the band call ?Conjunto Cielito?. He also received an award from the City of Austin and Mexic-Arte for contributions to Conjunto Music. Preceded in death by his Son Jose Luis Reyna, Parents Timoteo Reyna and Manuela Hernandez, Sisters Santos Reyna, Elvira Mendez and Ernestina Zapata.
Mr. Joe Reyna is survived by his Beloved Wife of 51 years; Maria Lina Reyna and his Beloved Children and their Spouses; Rudy Reyna, Lupita Molina, Grace Castro, Alfredo Reyna, Lucy R. Rios and husband Mike E., Norma Reyna, Ruben Reyna, Rose A. Davidson and husband Wayne Davidson, Johnny Reyna and Michelle R. Duran and husband John A. Duran all of Austin. 30 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, Brother Tim Reyna and Sister Manuela Velasquez survive him.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:30pm Tuesday at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00am Wednesday at Dolores Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. John Korscmar to Officiate. Committal services will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
The Reyna family wishes to express their gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of South Austin Medical Center for their care, love and support given to our beloved father during his illness.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Castro, Rudy Reyna, Jr., Jose Luis Reyna, Jr., Eric Reyna, Melvin Alvarez, Jr., and Miguel Costilla.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Reyna, Ruben Reyna, Jr., Matthew Reyna, Linda Castillo and Angie Rios.
