Nuestro amado Romulo "Mario" Garcia Cardenas, de 60 años de edad, y residente de Austin, nació a la Vida Eterna el sábado, 4 de septiembre, 2021. El se reune con su padre, Romulo Garcia; y su hermano, Juan Garcia Cardenas.
A Romulo le sobrevive su esposa, Maria Romelia Resendiz Hurtado; sus hijos, Juan Mojica, Noemí Garcia, Jesús Garcia, y su esposa, Lisa Jackson; sus hijastros, Julissa Ponce Resendiz, Oscar Aparicio Resendiz, Estela Aparicio Resendiz, Franco Aparicio Resendiz, Lizbet Resendiz Hurtado, Silvestre Resendiz Hurtado; sus nietos, Juan Javier Mojica, Jesús Adrian Mojica, Noa Olvera, Adriana Olvera, Cruz Donate, Alicia Garcia, Jesús Garcia, Jr., Juan Garcia; su madre, Aurora Cardenas de Garcia; sus hermanos, Espiridion Garcia Cardenas, Jose Luis Garcia Cardenas, Javier Garcia Cardenas, Sergio Garcia Cardenas; numerosos sobrinos, otros familiares, y amigos.
El velorio se realizará el martes, 14 de septiembre, 2021, de 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., con la Recitación del Santo Rosario empesando a las 7:00 p.m., en Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
La Santa Misa de Requiém se realizará la siguiente mañana, miercoles, 15 de septiembre, 2021, a las 11:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, 5909 Reicher Drive, Austin, Texas.
El entierro seguirá en San Juan Cemetery en Reedville, Texas.

Our beloved Romulo "Mario" Garcia Cardenas, age 60, and resident of Austin was born into Eternal Life on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He is reunited with his father, Romulo Garcia; and his brother, Juan Garcia Cardenas.
Romulo is survived by his wife, Maria Romelia Resendiz Hurtado; his children, Juan Mojica, Noemi Garcia, Jesus Garcia, and his spouse, Lisa Jackson; his step-children, Julissa Ponce Resendiz, Oscar Aparicio Resendiz, Estela Aparicio Resendiz, Franco Aparicio Resendiz, Lizbet Resendiz Hurtado, Silvestre Resendiz Hurtado; his grandchildren, Juan Javier Mojia, Jesus Adrian Mojica, Noa Olvera, Adriana Olvera, Cruz Donate, Alicia Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Jr., Juan Garcia; his mother, Aurora Cardenas de Garcia; his brothers, Espiridion Garcia Cardenas, Jose Luis Garcia Cardenas, Javier Garcia Cardenas, Sergio Garcia Cardenas; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, 5:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5909 Reicher Drive, Austin, Texas.
Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
