Obituary of Teresa "Tere" Castillo

Our beloved Tere Castillo, age 59, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo Castillo and Socorro Ibarra; the father of her children, Roel R. Santos, and her brother, Gerardo Castillo.

Tere is survived  by children, Juan Santos (Amber), Juliana Santos Castillo, Jose R. Santos (Maria), and Ruben Santos Castillo; her grandchildren, Johnree Santos, Ameree Santos, Desiree Santos, Alex Santos, Angela Santos, Alondra Santos, Joseph E. Santos, Joel R. Santos, and Jazmin v. Santos; great grandchildren, Max Saybounkham, Matias Santos, and Mia Danae Santos; siblings, Rudy Castillo, Beatriz Castillo, Claudia Acosta, Maria Luisa Ibarra, Jorge Eduardo Acosta, Alfredo Acosta, and Rosario Acosta, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
