Obituary of Flora Ruedas

Our beloved, Flora A Ruedas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 30, 2021.

She is preceded by her parents Refugio and Petra Cuellar; two grandchildren Paulie and Angelita; two great grandchildren Ivan Alijah and Aavalynn siblings, Jesse Cuellar and Guadalupe Cuellar, children, Linda R. Herrera and her husband Jesse Herrera, Carols Ruedas, Lydia Villarreal, Mike Ruedas, and Rosemary Haros.

Flora is survived by her loving children, Pablo Ruedas, Peter Ruedas and his wife Alice, Joanna Ruedas, and Jody Ruedas and his wife Lali; siblings, Martin Cuellar, Leandro Cuellar, Felix Cuellar, and Arthur Cuellar; as well as numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren who were a huge part of her life, and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South 1st St., Austin, Texas. Catholic Mass will be held at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78741, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
