Obituary of Julian Arellano Gonzales

Our beloved Julian Arellano Gonzales, age 72, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 29, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents Arturo and Felicita Gonzales; his twin sister, Rosa Gonzales Castro and his brothers, Pete Gonzales and Robert Gonzales.

Julian is survived by his children, Maria Gonzales, Elizabeth Gonzales, and Diana Gonzales; grandchildren, Shilaya De La Santos, Joaquin De La Santos, Noah Capuchino, Robert Capuchino, and Steven Capuchino; great-grandchildren, Ruben Correa, Romeo Correa, Laylani Capuchino, and Giana Capuchino; his brother, Arturo Gonzales, Jr.; his sisters, Paula Gonzales Rangel and her spouse, Ben, Dominga Gonzales Mireles, and her spouse, John, and Lupe Gonzales Martinez, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Julian is a master carpenter with over 30 years of experience at Pedro SS Services, Inc. He has personally built and remodeled dozens of homes in East Austin, always trying to maintain the historic look of the community. His work ethic, dedication, and love for his family was an inspiration to many.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Scripture Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery, Cadillac Ln., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
