Obituary of Rose Marie Ruiz

Our beloved Rose Marie Ruiz, age 72, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 27, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Resendez Ruiz; her parents, Jack and Patsy Gonzales, and her siblings, Manuel Estrada, Carl Gonzales, David Gonzales, Arthur Gonzales, and Linda Horne.

Marie is survived by her children, Eva Ruiz, Efren Regalado III (Debbie), David Ruiz (Nelly), and Everett Ruiz (Sophia); grandchildren, Jacklin Reyes (Roberto), Jake Nuncio (Elena), Joshua Nuncio (Lety), Daniel Regalado (Stephanie), Jonathon Regalado, Tristan Aleman, Tesslyn Hernandez, Teagan Garcia, Leeanna Montanez, Rudy Martinez IV, Lawrence Everett Ruiz, Jr., and Andrew David Ruiz; great grandchildren, Jake Nuncio, Jr., Logan Nuncio, Camila Rose Regalado, Tristan Aleman, jr., and Adelyn Flores; her siblings Kathy Vasquez (Ralph), Mark Gonzles (Naomi), Jeff Gonzales (Kellie), John Gonzales, and Marshall Gonzales (Liz), and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinez and 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
