Obituary of JoAnn Cisneros

Our beloved JoAnn Cisneros, age 55, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 19, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago "Jimmie" Cisneros and Maria Sanchez Cisneros; her son, Gregorio Amador, Jr. and her siblings, Marcos Cisneros, Maria "Mary" Feliz Cisneros, Isabel "Liz" Fink, David Cisneros, Jorge Cisneros, and Santiago "Jim" Cisneros, Jr.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Jessica Cisneros, Louis Gauna (Vanessa), and Melinda Garcia (Celio); her grandchildren, Juan Antonio "Trey" Corpus III, Louis Anthony Gauna, Jr., Kaylee Lynn Gauna, Joseph Greg Gauna, Janelle Ann Gauna, Kristina Neveah Gauna, Victoria Charlotte Sillas, Michael Joseph Sillas, Brian Sillas, Alicia Maria Chavez, Juliana Allynn Chavez, and Alexander James Cabrera; her sister, Elida Gallardo (Arthur); brother, Daniel Cisneros, brother-in-law, Gregory "Greg" Fink, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
