Obituary of Onesimo Ernest Ruiz

Our beloved Onesimo Ernesto Ruiz, age 68, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sirildo and Mary Ruiz, and his siblings, Yolanda Lugo, Ruben Ruiz, Raymond Ruiz, and Arthur Ruiz.

Onesimo is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sylvia Ruiz; his children, Ernest "Ernie" Ruiz, Jr., Amy Ruiz (Mike Rivera), and Erica Ruiz (Mike Urrutia; his grandchildren, Sierra Gomez, Robert Charles Rivera, Joseph Adam Corona (Valerie Sanchez), and Eric Ray Ruiz-Alvarez; his siblings, Armando Ruiz (Janie), Margie Rangel (Ladis), and Sylvia Benitez, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1000 David Moore Rd., Austin, Texas.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
