Obituary of Enrique A. Hernandez

Our beloved, Enrique A. “Dreak” Hernandez Sr., was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He is preceded by his father, Frank T. Hernandez.

Dreak is survived by his loving wife of 30 beautiful years, Leslie Ann Hernandez; his adoring children, Jonathan Ray Hernandez (Jessica Almora), Enrique “EJ’ Hernandez Jr. (Delilah Abascal), Andres Jesus Hernandez, Deziree Arianna Hernandez; his mother, Maria Gonzales; his grandchildren, Jaden Sol Hernandez and Elijah Josiah Hernandez, his siblings Frances Hernandez Newton (Dramatic), Mario Ray Hernandez, and Frankie Hernandez; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Dreak was loving husband, father, and a cherished member of his community as a long time barber at Austin's Most Wanted.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2021, with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Apostle Catholic Church, 4600 E Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX 78741. Interment will follow at Assumption cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery may be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
