Our beloved Santiago ?Jimmy? M. Garza, age 55, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday August 8, 2003.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Federico and Cruz M. Garza, Sisters Isabel Terrazas, Irenia Garza and a Brother Brigido Garza. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. Survivors include his beloved wife of 19 years; Ruth R. Garza, Children; Georgia Garza, Stephanie Garza, Joe Angel Garza and Jimmy Garza, Jr., all of Austin, Brothers and Sisters; Carmen Gonzales, Manuela Canales, Adela Matias, Andrew Garza, Susana Avalos, Dolores Trejo, Yolanda Trejo and Paul Garza all of Austin. 6 grandchildren survive him. Recitation of rosary Monday 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Richard Hall, OMI to officiate. Committal services to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are members of the family.
