Obituary of Jose G. Garza

Our beloved Jose "Joe" G. Garza, age 69, resident of Mission and Austin, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Friday, July 23, 2021. He is reunited with his parents,  Gilbert S. Garza and Eulalia Gallardo. 

Joe is survived by his brother, Gilbert G. Garza, Jr.; his sisters, Hermelinda G. Bruciaga and Lucinda Garza Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

A Funeral Service will take place the following morning, Friday, August 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. 

The Rosary and Funeral Service will be live-streamed to Facebook to allow any family members or friends unable to attend to participate. Please follow this link to Mission Funeral Home - East Side Facebook Live. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
