Obituary of Marcial Mendiola Gutierrez

Our beloved Marcial Mendiola Gutierrez, age 75, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He is reunited with his parents. 

Marcial is survived by his spouse of nearly 50 years, Guadalupe Garcia Gutierrez; his children, Elizabeth Feral Perez, Rose Marie Gutierrez, Placida Perez Rivera, John Perez, and Felix Perez; 18 precious grandchildren and one treasured great-grandchild; his six siblings; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

The funeral service will be held the following morning, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.

Nuestro amado Marcial Mendiola Gutierrez, de 75 años de edad, residente de Austin, nació a la Vida Eterna el martes, 20 de julio, 2021. Esta reunido con sus padres. 

A Marcial le sobrevive su esposa con quien compartió 50 años en matrimonio, Guadalupe Garcia Gutierrez; sus hijos, Elizabeth Feral Perez, Rose Marie Gutierrerz, Placida Perez Rivera, John Perez, y Felix Perez; 18 nietos preciosos y un bisnieto preciado; sus seis hermanos; numerosos sobrinos, otros familiares, y muchos amigos. 

El velorio se realizará el 28 de julio, 2021, de 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., con la Recitación del Santo Rosario empesando a las 7:00 p.m. en Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

El servicio fúnebre se realizará la siguiente mañana, jueves, 29 de julio, 2021, a las 11:00 a.m., tambien en Mission Funeral Home. 

El entierro seguirá en Assumption Cemetery. 

Debido a las restricciones de Coronavirus / COVID-19 de la ciudad de Austin,
los niveles de capacidad están restringidos en funerarias, iglesias y cementerios.
Cada persona que ingrese a la funeraria, la iglesia y el cementerio deberá usar una máscara.
y practicar el distanciamiento social de 6 pies o más. Si está enfermo o le preocupa el virus,
se recomienda que no asista a los servicios.
