Obituary of Hermelando Rodriguez Perez

Our beloved, Hermelando Rodriguez-Perez, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

He is preceded by his parents, Manuel Rodriguez and Maria Perez Rodriguez.

Hermelando is survived by his loving wife, of 38 beautiful years, Oralia Gomez; his children, Rigoberto Rodriguez and his wife Nelsis Rodriguez, Maritza Rodriguez-Ruiz and her husband Ronald Ruiz, Edgar Rodriguez and his wife Karina Pena-Mejia; his grandchildren, Roberto Alvarenga, Kevin Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Gianna Ruiz, Eduardo Ruiz, Armando Rodriguez Pena, Karyme Rodriguez-Pena; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021,, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, 9110 US-183, Austin, TX 78747. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
