Obituary of Blaza Estrada Rios

Our beloved, Blaza Estrada Rios, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Monday, July 5, 2021.

She is preceded by her parents, Marcelo and Enriqueta Estrada; Her siblings, Chon Estrada, Susan Quinteros, and Janie Alba; her son-in-law Joe Hipolito; and her grandsons, Michael and Richard Hipolito.

Blaza is survived by her loving husband, of 65 beautiful years, Ezekiel P. Rios Sr.; her adoring children, Janie Hipolito, Sylvia Rios Medina, Ezekiel Rios Jr., and his wife Lucy, Anita Wilkerson and her husband Donald, and Martin Rios and his wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Andrew Hipolito, Mark Medina, Israel Jimenez, Valerie Hernandez, Beatrice Sanchez, George Sanchez, Derek Wilkerson, Darrin Wilkerson, Martin Rios Jr., Jonathan Rios, Michelle Rios, and Ariel Rios; 9 great grandchildren, and by her siblings, Meme Balladares, Mary Valdez and Pablo Estrada; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark Medina, Andrew Hipolito, Derek Wilkerson, Darrin Wilkerson, Martin Rios Jr., Jonathan Rios.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2021, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E 9th St, Austin, TX 78702. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
