Obituary of Roland Eric Limón

Please share a memory of Roland to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Roland Eric Limón, age 55, was called to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 19, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Limón, Jr.

Roland was born and raised in Austin Texas and resided in the Montopolis area for 52 years.   He had a kind gentle soul and could hold a conversation with anyone whether you were a simple man or an executive, he didn’t see people for a title, he was genuine.  Always proud of his family, heritage and culture.   He was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, but continued to live his life to the fullest with a positive attitude.  He had a love for cars, he founded the car club Neon Toys. Where he also made many lifetime friends.

Roland dedicated his life to public service, retiring from the state of Texas with 22 years of service. In 2019, Roland accomplished his dream of moving out of his childhood home and settled in Kyle, Texas. A new beginning for him and his mom.  He made many friends in his new neighborhood, and was loved by all.  As a token of his friendship, his neighborhood residence took care of his yard and house and gifted him a bird bath during his final days, we will forever be grateful for the love that was shown

Roland became ill with pneumonia and sepsis in April 2021 and fought a long hard battle, never giving up no matter how tired he got.   Roland passed on June 19, 2021, at the age of 55 surrounded by his loving family. May you rest in peace Roland, forever cruisin’ in the clouds.

Roland is survived by his mother, Beatrice Mendez Limón; his brother, Robert "Bob" Rene Limón and his wife, Norma; his sister, Rachael Limón Rodriguez and her husband, Alo; his nieces and nephews, Alyssa Limón (Luke), Robert "Bobby" Rene Limón, Jr. (Letty), Ryan Rodriguez (Jessica Cisneros), Ariana Rodriguez (Jeremy Tristan), and Jonathon Rodriguez;  great nephews, Ryan J.
