Obituary of Santiago Cisneros

Our beloved Santiago “Jimmie” Cisneros, age 95, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Friday, May 21, 2021.

He was preceded by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria Sanchez Cisneros; parents, Damacio Cisneros and Petra Manzanares Cisneros; children, Marcos Cisneros, Maria “Mary” Feliz Cisneros, Isabel “Liz” Fink, David Cisneros, Jorge Cisneros, and Santiago “Jim” Cisneros, Jr.; siblings, Leandro Cisneros, Leonora Cisneros, Adela Cisneros, Jose Cisneros, Gabriela Cisneros, Guadalupe Cisneros Lara, Susana Cisneros and Reyes Cisneros; and by his grandson, Baby Greg Amador.

Jimmie is survived by his loving children, Elida Gallardo and her husband, Arthur, Jo Ann Cisneros, and Daniel Cisneros; son-in-law, Gregory “Greg” Fink; 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 24 great great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2021, at Dolores Catholic Church, 111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78741. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and/or cemetery, will be required to wear a mask ,and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill, or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
