Obituary of Alfredo "Freddy" Herrera
Our beloved Alfredo "Freddy" Herrera, age 67, passed away tragically on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert, Sr. and Ynosencia Herrera and his brother, Albert Herrera, Jr.
Freddy is survived by his sons, Anthony Herrera and Jason Herrera; his partner of 20 years, Godelba M. Molinar; her children that he considered as his own, Veronica M. Flores, Danette M. Nunez Benhamimed, and Lynette M. Sanchez; his brothers, Martin Herrera and wife, Rosie, Paul Herrera, Carlos Herrera, Emilio Herrera and wife, Nora, Ignacio Herrera and wife, Diana, Bobby Herrera, Roger Herrera, and Jerry Herrera; his sisters, Benita Hernandez and husband, Joe, Carmen Estrada and husband, Manny, Mary Contreras and husband, Domingo, Eva Carrillo and husband, Sonny, Rose Eufracio and husband, Ray, Marina Moraida, Theresa Solis and husband, Mike, Christine Riojas, and Dolores Herrera. Freddy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Final viewing and visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Thursday morning, before Mass, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
