Obituary of Jose "Pantaleon" Martinez

Our beloved Jose "Pantaleon" Martinez, age 64, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 3, 2021. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Catarino Martinez and Luisa Vega; his brother, Filemon Martinez. 

Jose leaves behind his children, Luis Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Lucy Martinez, and Lilianna M. Jasso, and husband, Orlando Jasso; five grandchildren; his siblings, Sabino "Chavez" Martinez, Maria Juana Mendez, Gabriela Diaz, Zita Martinez, Angelica Grimaldo, Dora Resendiz, and Maria Josefina Martinez; number nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Luis Martinez, Orlando Jasso, David Arriaga, Ray Luna, Xavier Herrera, Arturo Torres, Omero Diaz, and Noe Diaz. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas 78702.

A Scripture service will be held the following morning, Monday, April 12, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home East, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
