Obituary of Gabriel S. Ruedas

Our beloved Gabriel S. Ruedas, age 48, of Austin Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Santiago and Natividad Soza, Jose and Santos Ruedas; his father, Gregorio (Gollo) Ruedas; his brother, Gregorio Ruedas Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Lucy Mata, Carol Cantu, Gilbert Soza, and Manuel Soza. 

Gabriel is survived by his mother, Paula Ruedas; his children, Monica Ruedas (Raymond Salazar), Robert G. Ruedas, Gabriel Ruedas Jr., Desiree Ruedas (Richard Cantu), and Kekoa Ruedas; his siblings, Gina Ruedas and Gary Ruedas; his grandchildren, Alfred J. Aguilar III, Christian Garza, Alexander Garza, Harmony Ruedas, Lorenzo Gabriel Ruedas, and Elijah Cantu. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 29, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home -East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Austin, Texas 78702.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
