Obituary of Tommy Castillo Cruz

Our beloved Tommy Cruz, age 66, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, March 22, 2021. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Cruz and Angelita Castillo Cruz; his son, Jimmy Aguirre; his siblings, Peter Cruz and Paul Cruz. 

Tommy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Esther Cruz; his children, Rita and Juan Carlos Mendoza, Evaristo Aguirre Jr. and Rachel Santos, Louisa and Miguel Luna, Rodrigo Aguirre and his girlfriend, Carla Savahana; his brothers and sisters, Lucio Cruz Jr., Mary Chavez, Lilie Alvarez, David Cruz, and Dolores Rodriguez; 21 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many more loving family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Pedro Aguirre, Javon Hodges, Elijah Aguirre, Jayden Aguirre, Jimmy Aguirre, and Juan Pesina. 

With respect to the wishes of the family, the funeral services for Mr. Cruz will be private to the family only. 

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
