Obituary of Maria Perez de Martinez

Our beloved Maria Perez de Martinez, age 77, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  She has reunited with her beloved son, Arturo Martinez, and her beloved daughter, Maria del Carmen.

Maria leaves behind her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Rodolfo Martinez; her loving children, Domingo Martinez (Berta), Raul Martinez (Marisela), Rene Martinez (Marybel), Hector Martinez, (Isabel), Rodolfo Martinez (Amy), and Edilberto Martinez; 31 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; her brother, Caitano Perez; and her beloved Nephew, Ricardo Perez, with many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd Street, Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 

capacity levels are restricted.

Each person entering the funeral home will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.

Nuestra amada Maria Perez de Martinez, de 77 años de edad, falleció el jueves 11 de marzo del 2021.

Ella fue precedido en la muerte por hijio, Arturo Martinez y hija, Maria del Carmen.

A Maria le sobrevive su amoroso esposo de 60 años, Rodolfo Martinez; sus hijos y hijas, Domingo Martinez (Berta), Raul Martinez (Marisela), Rene Martinez (Marybel), Hector Martinez, (Isabel), Rodolfo Martinez (Amy), y Edilberto Martinez; 31 nietos; 13 bisnietos; hermano Caitano Perez; y su sobrino Ricardo Perez. A Maria también le sobrebiben muchos familiars y amigos amorosos.

El Velorio sera de las 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. el miercoles, 17 de marzo de 2021 con el Rosario comenzando a las 7:00 p.m. en Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street. El Servicio Funeral será a las 10:00 a.m. el jueves, 18 de marzo de 2021 en Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd Street, Austin, Texas 78702. El entierro será en Assumption Cemetery. 

Debido a las restricciones de Coronavirus / COVID-19 de la ciudad de Austin,

los niveles de capacidad están restringidos en funerarias, iglesias y cementerios.

Cada persona que ingrese a la funeraria, la iglesia y el cementerio deberá usar una máscara.

y practicar el distanciamiento social de 6 pies o más. Si está enfermo o le preocupa el virus,

se recomienda que no asista a los servicios.
