Obituary of Ted Richard Castellon
Our beloved Ted Richard Castellon, age 41, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Diaz; his sister, Lori Limón; his grandparents, Ted and Emilie Castellon and Marcelo Diaz.
The community knew him as "Ted tha Barber." He was well known all over Austin. He started cutting hair as a teenager and continued his career for over 25 years.
Ted is survived by his children, Christian Mack Castellon, Joseph Richard Castellon, Ted Richard Castellon, Jr., and Dominic Saldana; his mother, Brenda Limón and husband, Hector; his grandmother, Beatrice Diaz; his siblings, Christina Castellon and husband, John, Jessica Hernandez and husband, Norberto, Mary Elizabeth Diaz, Julie Limón and husband, Cody, Kimberly Shimek and husband, Casey, and Mercedes Novella and husband, Hipolito. Ted is also survived by his nieces, Angel, Makayla, Jailynn, Faith, Bella, Liliana and Lori; his nephew, Bubba, and numerous others; one great nephew, Kingy, and many other loving family and friends.
The family has created a gofundme account to help cover the unexpected expense for services and burial. In advance, the family is grateful to everyone for their love and support through this devastating time.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Richard Castellon, Dominic Saldana, Richard Herrera, Stevie Treviño, Raymond Duran, Darrell Diaz, Jr., Jesse Jay Moya, and Edward Cisneros. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Joseph Ochoa, John Cardenas, and Norberto Hernandez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
A Chapel Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held following the burial from 2:00-6:00 p.m. following the burial.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
