Obituary of Teresa Vasquez Marrero

On February 27, 2021 our beloved Teresa Vasquez-Marrero received her wings and went to walk with the angels in eternal life. She was 80 years old.

Teresa was a loving and faithful wife and a Godly mother to her children. She kept the Lord at the forefront of her life and taught her children strength and determination through Faith. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was welcomed into eternal life by her Son John Albert Marrero; Father Mauricio Vasquez Sr.; Mother Antonia Vasquez; Step-Mother Alicia Vasquez; Brother Salomon Vasquez and Sister, Dorothy Vasquez-Cruz.

Her light will continue to shine brightly from Heaven as she waits to be reunited with her husband of 64 years, Robert E. Marrero; her children Debra Marrero; Robert Marrero Jr.; Ronald Marrero and wife Valerie; Roberta Marrero; Rodney Marrero and wife Debra; 20 Grand Children; 40 Great-Grandchildren; 8 Sisters; 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.,Saturday, March 6, 2021, with Funeral Services beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Sermon will be pronounced by Pastors Josue and Gilma Sanchez.

Teresa will be escorted to her final resting place by: John Albert Garza, Abel M. Marrero; Matthew Marrero; Elijah Garza; Logan Davidson; Justin Davidson; Honorary Pallbearer - Rodney Marrero

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
