Obituary of Daniel Mendieta Alvarado

Our beloved Daniel M. Alvarado, age 60, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. He is reunited with his parents, Faustino and Apolonia Mendieta Alvarado; and his siblings, Raymond Alvarado, Pedro Alvarado, Elida Alvarado - Young, Domingo Alvarado, Ramona A. Zamora, Andres Alvarado, and Simona Alvarado. 

Daniel is survived by his sisters, Beatrice Flores, Anna Hernandez, Maria Rodriguez, Tomasa Verver; his brother, Richard Alvarado; his closest nieces and nephews, Homero Facundo, Jordan Alvarado, Madison Alvarado, Cindy Alvarado; numerous more nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. and Gospel Acclamation at 8:00 p.m., at Austin Peel & Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas. 

Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Friday, March 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 East Second Street, Austin, Texas

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
