Our beloved Elias Jurado Sr, 88, resident of Del Valle, TX, was called to eternal rest by our Heavenly Father on Good Friday April 18, 2003. Surrounded by his family at home, he left this world peacefully and gracefully.Elias was preceded in death by his parents; Dionisia and Manuel Jurado and sons Elias Jurado Jr. and Edward Jurado. Elias will deeply be missed by his beloved wife of 59 years Maria C. Jurado, Sons; Jesse Jurado and wife Maria, Gilbert Jurado, Joe Jurado, Steve Jurado and wife Rachel, Daughters; Herminia Menchaca, Rosa Haros and husband Roy, Gloria Chavez and husband Miguel, Elvira Jurado, Lucy Martinez and husband Gonzalo, Mary Lee Rodriguez and husband Ernest, Brothers; Albert and Alfred Jurado. Mr. Jurado is survived by 48 Grandchildren, 77 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His religious faith and strong belief in family unity was what kept him fighting until the very end. Grandpa, you were a good man and you will be missed by all. Love you always. ?VALLA CON DIOS? Recitation of rosary will be Monday, 7:30 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Ressurection will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 AM at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, O.M.I. to officiate. Committal services will follow at Assumption Cemetery Serving as pallbearers are Jesse Jurado, Juan Jurado, David Soriano Jr., Miguel Chavez Jr, Marcos Haros, Joe Mata Jr. and Ezekiel Jurado. Honorary pallbearers are Eli Jurado, Rudy Haros, Harvey Jurado, Richard Mata, and Rudy Aleman. The Jurado family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice Austin nurses, Doctors and Staff of South Medical Center for their love, care and comforrt provided for our beloved Elias during his illness.
