Obituary of Antonio Lara
Our beloved Antonio Lara, age 73, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Monday, February 1, 2021. He is reunited with his father, Teodoro Lara; his brothers, Lupe Lara, Jesse Lara, Hector Lara, Roy Lara; his sisters, Janie Robles, Noni Hinojosa, and Sylvia Ruedas.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Jimenez Lara; his children, Bobby (Theresa) Losolla, Jessie Losolla, Lorenzo Losolla, Emma (Gilbert) Acuna, Anna (Rene) Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Brianna, Martiza, Manuel, Andrew, Robert, Meagen, Fabian, Bobby Jr., Zachary L., Carlos Jr., Alex, Zachary A., Sarah, Jessica, Lorenzo Jr., Steven, Nicole, Elizabeth; 20 great-grandchildren; his mother, Anita Lara; his brothers, Joe Lara, George Lara, Martin Lara; his sisters, Mary Rivas, Irma Lara; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Antonio's family names the following gentlemen as honored pallbearers: Andrew Losolla, Robert Losolla, Carlos Aponte, Jr., Augustine Ramirez, Bobby Losolla, Jr., Gilbert Rivas, Stephan Lara, and Carlos Olmos.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
Funeral Liturgy will take place the following morning, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side.
The Rosary and Funeral Liturgy will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate. Please follow the link to Mission Funeral Home East Side Facebook Page to view.
Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
