Obituary of Gloria Rose Saldana-Sustaita

Our beloved Gloria “Missy” Rose Saldana-Sustaita, age 57, was called home to our Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, of 21 years, Don Sustaita III; parents, Horace and Alice Mendez Saldana; brothers, Horace Saldana Jr., and Paul Saldana; and by her sister, Patricia Saldana.

Missy is survived by her loving children, Bianca Sustaita, and Don Sustaita IV; siblings, Marie Garcia and her husband Jimmy, Joe Saldana and his wife Cheryl, John Saldana and his wife Christina, Edward Saldana and his wife Tommie Sue, and Paula, and her husband Adolph; and by her crazy Chihuahua Mimi; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.

A special thank you to Missy’s niece Lisa for providing her primary care.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021, with Prayer Services beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
