Obituary of Dora R. Lucio

Our beloved Dora R. Lucio, age 81, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Pedro R. Lucio, Sr.; her parents, Conrado and Marcela Rodriguez; her sisters, Rita Medina, Paz Ruiz and Lucia Hernandez; brothers, Mateo Rodriguez, and Juan Rodriguez.

Dora is survived by her loving children, Liz Zuniga, Gloria Torres and her husband, Miguel, Arlene Barrientez and her husband, Antonio, Jr., Pete Lucio, Jr., and Ysidro Lucio and his wife, Esther; her siblings, Senovia "Sene" Medina, Petra Salazar, Luisa Contreras, and Lorenzo Rodriguez and his wife, Betty; sisters-in-law, Alejandra Rodriguez and Frances Rodriguez; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Tobias Guerrero, Nikki Marie Altamirano and her partner, Rachel Pesina, Antonio Barrientez III and his wife, Julie, Mark Aaron Barrientez and his wife, Laura, Pete Anthony Lucio and his wife, Nickie, Andrew Lucio and his partner, Jasmine Norng, Angelica Lucio and her partner, Eddie Vasquez, Adrian Lucio, Rose Sears and her husband, David, Monica Perez and her husband, Mando, and Yvonne Lucio and her partner, Sergio Puente; twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and entire staff of St. David's North Austin Medical Center for their unwavering care and support of Dora and our family.  The family also thanks the nurses of Altus Hospice for the excellent palliative care provided and making our mother comfortable in her final days and the guidance they offered us throughout her care.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montoplis Ave., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
