Obituary of Efrain Ben Sanchez, Sr.

Our beloved Efrain Ben Sanchez, Sr., age 74, resident of Austin, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Monday, January 11, 2021. He is reunited with his parents, Juan Jose Sanchez and Leonor Ortiz as well as his loving son, Rene Sanchez.

Mr. Sanchez leaves behind his three beloved children, Gracie Sanchez Marin, and her spouse, Anthony, Efrain Ben Sanchez, Jr., and his spouse, Diana and Daughter in Law, Maria Sanchez; 13 precious grandchildren and 11 treasured great-grandchildren; his siblings, Gabriel Sanchez, Emily Calvo, Rosemary Montes, Juan Jose Sanchez, Jr., Alfred Sanchez, Domitila Gonzales, Richardo Sanchez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 31, 2021, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Monday, February 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas. 

A limited Graveside Service will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask (those solely wearing face shields will not be permitted entry)

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
