Obituary of Emilia Rocha

Our beloved Emilia Rocha, age 80, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 15, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo and Amelia Carrizales.

Emilia is survived by her loving children, Manuel Rocha (Susan Perez), Louis Rocha (Emma), Daniel Rocha (Danica Castaneda), Katherine Facundo (Vance), Gabriel Rocha (Yvonne), Alfonso Rocha (Martha), and Christina Rocha; brothers, Guillermo Carrizales, Jr. (Maria) and Jose Carrizales; sisters, Yolanda Mendez and Ysabel Solis; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren (and 3 on the way), and 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Manuel Rocha III, Henry Rocha, Jesse Rocha, Jr., Jesse Rocha III, Ricky Vargas, Raymond Manriquez, Walter Monge, and Jose Lerma.

The family is providing a visitation time for older adults and those compromised.  It will be held from 1:00-3:00  p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  Private Family Visitation for Grandchildren and extended family will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m.  Children and siblings of Ms. Emilia will have Private Family Visitation from 6:00-9:00 p.m. also on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. and will be live-streamed for those unable to attend personally. Visitation and Rosary will be at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021, at the Church of St. Michael, 80 S. Old Spanish Tr., Uhland, Texas.  Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 1200 N. Commerce, Lockhart, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
