Obituary of Miguel S. Canales
Our beloved Miguel Canales, age 47, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Miguel was a loving and caring man to anyone who knew him. He would help anyone in need, even if it was his last cent.
Miguel loved to work on cars, fix them and cruise around with his kids, wife and friends. Miguel loved classic cars, because he took after he's father, Louis Vasquez. When Miguel was little Louis and Anita would take him to car shows and cruise around town in their classic cars.
As Miguel got older, he started showing interest in motorcycles. He went to Sturgis, South Dakota for the first time in 2003. After that, he went back two more times, before Miguel and Alyon decided to grow their family.
When Miguel and Alyon first met, in 2003, they started out as friends and then in 2009 they married, on Valentine's Day. Miguel wanted to have it on Valentine's Day because he wanted to 'hit two birds with one stone. He would always tell everyone how proud he was to marry his wife and that she was also in the military to protect our family and country. Even though Miguel and Bea would enjoy car shows, it was always their dream to have a true classic car of their own. Finally, in 2020 they were able to have their dream car, a 1963 Thunderbird. Miguel truly loved that car.
Miguel truly loved his four children, being there for all of their births. He named them, took care of them, and when his wife, Alyon Canales, was deployed or out on missions with the military, Miguel was always there for the kids. Miguel always made sure his children were taken care of and made sure he was able to give them what they deserved.
Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Alyon Canales; his parents, Anita Canales and her husband, Louis Vasquez; his young children, Arabella Canales, Abagale Canales, Christian "Mikey" Canales, and Asa Canales; his sibliings, Dyon Canales, Terry Galindo, Jesse Canales and his wife, Tanya, and Angel Anzuras and her husband, Juan Jaime. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Services for Mr. Canales are private to the family. The family of Miguel wants to thank everyone for their love and support as they face this very heartbreaking time.
