Obituary of David and April Arenas

Our beloved David, born October 23, 1974 and April, born August 26, 1983 were both called to our Heavenly Father within hours of each other on Thursday, January 14, 2021. David was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Arenas.

April and David are survived by their children, David Arenas, Jr., Christiana Arenas and Marisa Arenas and grandchildren, Eloise Arenas and Jayden Garcia. David is survived by his parents, Donald and Yolanda Dahlin.  April is survived by her parents, Edward Garcia, Sr. and his wife, Gloria De La Cruz, and Patsy Escalante Garcia and her husband, Ted Nanez, and her siblings Johnny Harros and his wife, Yliana, Joann Enriquez and her husband, Jose Luis, Jessica Sanchez and her husband, Joe Angel, Julia Lomeli and her husband, Frank, Kathy Salinas and her husband, Joe, Dolores Ceballos, and Edward Garcia, Jr. and his wife, Nicole. Both are survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
