Obituary of Guadalupe Gutierrez

Our beloved Guadalupe Gutierrez, age 97, was called home Sunday, January 3, 2020.  She was accompanied in death by her son, George Gutierrez, who passed only days prior. Lupe was also preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Lopez, Sr. and Julia Lopez; as well as thirteen brothers and sisters.

Guadalupe is survived by her loving daughter, Maria Gutierrez; four granddaughters, Julia Limas, Jessica Rosales, Luisa Flores, and Victoria Lafuente; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa Duarte, Christian Rosales, Faith Rosales, Joshua Taylor, Elias Hurd, Lily Lafuente, David Lafuente, and Rosalie Lafuente; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021, with a Prayer Services beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First St. Austin, TX 78745. Inurnment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
