Obituary of Domingo Castillo, Jr.

Our beloved Domingo "Mingo" Castillo, Jr., age 66, was called to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Sunday, January 3, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Castillo, Sr. and Sofia Castillo and his precious granddaughter, Celeste Rangel.

Mingo is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Maria Castillo; his children, Lisa Marie Castillo, Domingo Castillo III and his fiance, Delia Castro, Theresa Rangel and her husband, Emiliano, Denise Tovar and her fiance, Ernest Faz, Felix Tovar IV and his wife, Raquel; 13 grandchildren, Joseph Limon, Victoria Limon, Matthew Castillo, Jacob Castillo, Domingo Castillo IV, Caitlyn Rangel, Ciara Rangel, Ulysses Gabriel, Haley Gabriel, Ariana Rodriguez, Felix Tovar, and Nyomi Ivy Tovar; great granddaughter, Bryleigh Esperanza Castillo, and one great granddaughter on the way, Gianna Russell; his siblings, Margaret Alaniz and her husband, Daniel, Olivia Maldonado and her husband, Andrew, Mack Castillo and his wife, Ilda, Matilda Padilla, Jennie Billips, and Lupe Ruiz.  Mingo is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held between 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Chapel Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
