Obituary of Rebecca Arredondo

Mrs. Rebecca Moreno Arredondo, age 63, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 05, 1999. For the Lord says, ?Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in my name. When he calls on me I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation.? ? Psalm 91: 14-16
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert B. Moreno Sr.; brothers, Robert Moreno Jr. and Jesse Rudy Moreno.
Survivors include: beloved husband of 45years, George C. Arredondo; her sons, Dennis Arredondo and wife Roseann, Manny Arredondo and wife Nora, Lonnie Arredondo, Trix Gonzales and wife Bunnie; her daughters Lorraine Bisig and Rebecca Marie Ruiz; Mother, Margaret L. Moreno; brothers, Edward Moreno, Richard (Dickey) Moreno, Michael Moreno; sisters, Rachel Moreno, Tommie Lopez, Margaret Alvarado; grandchildren, George Anthony, Denise, Laura Melody, Shauntel, Linda Crystal, Jason, Stephanie, Audra, Nicolas, A. Jacob, Grace, Manuel, Colton, Cody, great-grandchild, Michael Paul and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Arredondo family is grateful for the love and devotion of Rebecca?s physician, Dr. John Doty and his team nurse Sue of the Southwest Cancer Research Center and to the staff of Brackenridge Cancer Center with special recognition to nurses Peggy Collins and Lavern Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, the Arredondo family request that donations be made to the Brackenridge Breast Cancer Center, 601 E. 15th St., Austin, TX 78701.
Recitation of rosary Monday, 7:30pm at the St. Julia?s Catholic Church, 3010, Lyons Rd. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 11am at St Julia?s Catholic Church. Reverend Msgr. Lonnie Reyes will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are sons, Dennis Manny, Lonnie, and Trix; grandsons, George Anthony Arredondo and Jason Arredondo.
Honorary pallbearers are Lupio Alvarado and Smokey Amato.
