Obituary of Isidoro Gonzales, Jr.
Isidoro Gonzales, Jr., age 82, a resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was born December 11, 1938 to Isidoro “Lolo “ Gonzales and Veronica Rodriguez. He married Juanita Hernandez in 1959 and together they had three children, Craig, Anna, and Barry. Isidoro was a hard worker and devoted many years of his life to Superior Dairies as a delivery man, and later in the pro shop at both Austin and Barton Creek Country Clubs. More recently he worked for Meals on Wheels, an organization near and dear to him.
Isidoro was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Gonzales, his parents Isidoro “Lolo” Gonzales, Sr. and Veronica Rodriguez; siblings Henry Gonzales, Earl Gonzales, Connie Garcia Rodriguez, Albert, Arthur, Armando, Alfred Gonzales, and Enriqueta “Nena” Juarez.
Isidoro leaves behind his beloved children Craig (Genevieve), Anna Gonzales, Barry (Nicole); seven precious grandchildren, and nine treasured great-grandchildren; his sisters Alice Rojas, Rosie Aguirre, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 27th at 5pm at Mission Funeral Home on Cesar Chavez with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. Public memorial Mass will be held Monday, December 28th at 11am at Dolores Catholic Church. Private interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Nathaniel, Faustino, and Christopher Gonzales; Jason Patterson, Jose Cruz, and Malachi Roldan. Honorary pallbearers are Marisa Patterson, Avanna Aguilar, and Natalie Gonzales.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jose Cruz for all that he did for Mr. Gonzales. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff in the Intensive Care Unit of St. David’s for the care they provided to Mr. Gonzales in his final days.
